The Error message you are seeing in Access Capture is related to the Access Capture: Readsoft Broker Service which is a local windows service that connects Access Capture to your Dimensions Database and the ADM database.
The additional information included in the Error is quite self explanatory. It is advising you that on this occasion the Readsoft Broker Service was not able to connect to the SQL Server which hosts the Dimensions Database.
The error is most definitely environmental. It could be due to networking issues between the servers which hosts the Readsoft Broker Service and the SQL Server, for the Dimensions Database.
Other common causes of this issue, could be:
You have a new SQL Server, and the Readsoft Broker Service is pointing to the old SQL Server
You have upgraded the SQL Server, but not allowed remote connections through to the server. This is most common when the Readsoft Broker Service is running on a separate server to the SQL Server
You have two instances of the Readsoft Broker Service running on separate servers. This can cause issues as they are both connecting to the same SQL Servers and when one is connected, the other has to wait for a connection; eventually timing out and then returning the error
