Error - 'The target principal name is incorrect. Cannot generate SSPI context.' Document Export Failed

The error is related to something going wrong with the Capture Broker Service.

The error message in particular indicates that there is an issue with the service account which runs the Capture Broker Service connecting to the SQL Server, for importing into the Dimensions Database.

The Capture Broker Service is a windows service and is normally installed to a Remote Application or Web Server where it needs to be able to authenticate and connect to a SQL Server which hosts the Dimensions SQL Database.
​
It does this via a SQL Server user within the Broker Service.exe.config files - however also relies on the Service Account to connect through the network to the SQL Server itself.

In the first instance, you should ask your IT to check the service account to make sure that the password has not expired or the account has lost it's permissions to connect to the SQL Server.

The Capture Broker Service can be installed under different Names, however the Service will always likely have Broker Service in the Service Name with a Description mentioning the words Capture.
